If the loss of any listed below occurs, you will receive $2,000, ½ of the principal sum:
Loss of One Hand
Loss of One Foot
Loss of Sight of One Eye
This policy does not cover loss due to:
Suicide or intentionally self-inflicted injury while sane or insane
Sickness, disease, medical treatment, or surgery
Voluntary taking of drugs, unless taken as prescribed by a doctor
Injuries sustained by a pilot, student pilot, or crew member of an aircraft in a crash or collision of the aircraft
Committing or attempting to commit a felony or assault
Taking part in a riot or insurrection
War or any act of war, or any injury sustained while serving in military forces engaged in war, whether declared or undeclared
